Where to find Natiiv at SXSW in Austin

Just a quick note before I head into the fray that is SXSW. SXSW is a massive two week festival of music, film and interactive. This is my second trip to SXSW and I nearly canceled my trip. The interactive portion has doubled in size and I found it overwhelming last year.

Then I remembered by philosophy, Permission To Miss Out, got asked to join a panel, got asked to be Saul Colt's wing-man, and decided to launch my mini-book. Now I'm here and excited to be here!

Cybersex 2.0: Is social networking ruining your sex life? Friday, 5PM, Courtyard Rio Grande A

In the world of social networking, constant access, and real time updates, has the way in which we date evolved for the better or for the worse? This panel hopes to address the issues that have been created with "dating" and interacting online. We also hope to discuss the future of online love relations and how to date in the evolving cyberspace.

Friday night I plan on going to the 140conf event co-hosted by Jeff Pulver and Melissa Pierce.

Sunday at 7PM I'm hosting a small dinner. There is only room for 16 people at the table, but I have a few seats left. It'll probably cost about $100/person, but it is a gourmet meal. I try to be very upfront about the cost since most of us don't have expense accounts. Let me know if you want an invitation.

Monday I plan on going to the Kosher BBQ.

That's all that I know for sure. I've heard word that we'll be walking along the river every morning at 8AM, which will be lovely.

In the world of Natiiv, here are some other things going on.

SXSW Film will be featuring Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I worked with Music Box Films earlier this year to train the staff on using social media and brainstormed some launch ideas for this film. It is thrilling and worth getting to the theater to see.

During SXSW Music, you'll get to catch The Fold who are making pass through Austin while on tour. Friends of Natiiv that are performing include Ylove, Kosher Dillz and the guys from Shemspeed records. I Fight Dragons had to cancel their show after signing with Atlantic and making a move to LA to record.
