Halfway down the stairs.

Halfway down the stairs Is a stair where I sit: There isn’t any other stair quite like it. I’m not at the bottom, I’m not at the top: So this is the stair where I always stop.
Halfway up the stairs Isn’t up, and isn’t down. It isn’t in the nursery, it isn’t in the town: And all sorts of funny thoughts Run round my head: “It isn’t really anywhere! It’s somewhere else instead!”
(A A Milne)
I was watching a Muppets Special–kind of a Behind the Music. Something I never knew is that the Muppets was filmed here in London. The above song was performed at the end of season one (or series one, as the Brits say) by Kermit’s nephew Robin. It even reached #7 on the UK pop charts. Other songs that charted were “Mana Mana” and “It’s not easy being green” and probably “rainbow connection.” Anyway, the muppeteer who performed the song said it was touching to the cast, because they were homesick and never quite felt at home in London. So it seemed fitting to post it here today. It has been a long weekend of work, rain, and having a slight cold. I am going to go sit on my couch, because our stairs are way to busy to sit on.
